International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Ashirvad, with women from KS Garden and nearby organizations coming together to honour the strength and solidarity of women. Fr. Arun Luis, Director and Superior of Ashirvad, warmly welcomed the participants and joined a panel discussion, expressing his support for women’s empowerment and development.
The event featured engaging discussions – both serious and light-hearted – on the challenges women face in a male-dominated society. It provided a platform for women to voice concerns, share experiences, and support one another. Inspiring talks were delivered by various speakers, resonating with both the unlettered and the educated, and encouraging reflection on women’s roles, rights, and resilience. All women received a gift, and eligible participants were issued a benefit card that allows them to access monthly financial assistance from Ashirvad. The day fostered a strong sense of unity, as women reflected on their lives and challenges, leaving with renewed hope for a more just and inclusive future.
