Ashirvad joyfully celebrated the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola – founder of the Society of Jesus and beacon of Jesuit spirituality – with devotion and gratitude. The celebration brought together daily Mass attendees and a few sisters from nearby communities.
To accommodate the larger crowd, the solemn morning Mass was held in Loyola Hall instead of the community chapel. Fr. Amal SJ was the main celebrant, and Fr. Dean SJ delivered an inspiring homily reflecting on the life and legacy of St. Ignatius. Rev. Fr. Arun Luis SJ, Superior and Director of Ashirvad, warmly welcomed everyone and encouraged them to embrace the spirit of the feast.
The liturgy was further enriched by the Jesuit fathers’ melodious singing, accompanied by musical instruments, which lifted hearts in prayer. After the Mass, a festive breakfast was served. Fr. Elvis Lewis SJ thanked everyone for joining the celebration and graciously received greetings on behalf of the Jesuit community. A representative of the gathering warmly expressed, “Happy Feast of St. Ignatius to all our beloved Jesuit Fathers.”
The celebration concluded in a spirit of warmth, fellowship, and quiet joy – a grace-filled morning honouring the saint whose vision continues to inspire.
