The celebration of the Nativity of Our Lady at Ashirvad was a day to honour and remember the women in our lives – our mothers, sisters, and the entire female half of the world’s population. In a special way, the all-women staff team of the Spandana Study Centres were invited to Ashirvad for a day-long celebration dedicated to love, respect, and the beauty of womanhood. It was truly fitting to gather and uplift the dignity of women on this day. As was deeply felt by everyone present, every woman is a reflection of Our Lady, and every woman deserves to be respected, loved, and cared for. Fr. Arun Luis SJ, Director and Superior of Ashirvad, warmly welcomed everyone to the celebration. Given the multi-religious nature of the gathering, the event began with a common prayer service focused on the richness and vastness of womanhood. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ shared a moving reflection on the life and sacrifice of Mary, the Mother of Jesus and our Spiritual Mother. His heartfelt words touched all those present, inspiring everyone to follow her virtues in their own lives. The Ashirvad community graciously hosted the participants for a delicious vegetarian lunch, featuring a wide variety of vegetable dishes. It was a day of joy, gratitude, and spiritual upliftment – a truly memorable occasion that celebrated the strength and grace of every woman.
