Parent-Teacher Meeting: Commitment to enhance the learning environment

A Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTA) was held at Avalahalli on 1st October 2023 to discuss the academic progress and overall development of students. Teachers interacted with parents to share feedback on students’ performance, behaviour, and participation in class activities. The meeting provided an opportunity for mutual collaboration between parents and teachers to support students’ growth. Concerns and suggestions were exchanged, and parents appreciated the initiative. The session concluded on a positive note, with a shared commitment to enhancing the learning environment.

Fr. Arun Luis SJ, Director of Ashirvad, addressed the children and their parents, sharing the inspiring journey of how the Spandana Slum Study Centres came into existence and how they have now expanded to serve numerous slum communities. His words were enlightening for many, as they learned about this initiative for the first time. Fr. Anthony Arul SJ, Director of the Centre for Social Concern, expressed his gratitude to all the Spandana Volunteers for their dedication. He also congratulated the children for their consistent participation in the evening classes and for making the most of the opportunities provided by the centre.

The Parent-Teacher Meeting was a fruitful and meaningful gathering, aimed at enhancing the educational journey of the students. The religious sisters were generous in offering their school premises for the meeting, creating a warm and welcoming environment. Parents felt acknowledged and valued through the genuine concern shown by teachers for their children’s academic and personal development. This interaction not only fostered a strong relationship between parents and teachers but also laid the foundation for better understanding and communication between students and teachers. The meeting was a step forward in building a supportive and collaborative learning community.
