Volunteers’ Meetings – Spandana Study Centre, SJU

2022

Ashirvad Centre for Social Concern organized a meeting for the philanthropic students of St. Joseph’s University (SJU) who volunteered to serve at the Spandana Study Centre on campus. These dedicated volunteers were warmly thanked for their willingness to support the underprivileged children from KS Garden who attend tuition classes at the centre. Rev. Fr. Arun Luis SJ, Director of Ashirvad, extended a heartfelt welcome to the students. He appreciated their generosity and congratulated them for choosing to dedicate their time and energy in service of marginalized children. He emphasized the importance of such selfless acts in building a more compassionate and equitable society. Mr. Manohar, who regularly motivates and accompanies the children from KS Garden to the Spandana Study Centre, also addressed the gathering. He shared valuable insights about the children’s backgrounds and highlighted the challenges they face, helping the volunteers understand how best they can support them. The meeting was thoughtfully organized by Ms. Deekshitha, staff of the Centre for Social Concern (CSC), under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Anthony Arul SJ, Director of CSC. It was a fruitful and inspiring session that brought together generous minds united by a common vision—to contribute to the educational and holistic development of deserving children. The gathering not only set the tone for the upcoming engagements but also strengthened the spirit of solidarity and service among the volunteers.
